If you have a lot of data to add to Google Drive, Google Photos, or more, and you're facing storage issues, here's some good news for you. Google is ready to solve the storage problems of Google Workspace personal accounts. To help users expand their businesses, communicate and collaborate more effectively, Google is now increasing the current 15GB of free storage to 1TB. The same Google blog post says, "Soon every personal Google Workspace account will come with 1 TB of secure cloud storage. You won't have to lift a finger to get upgraded storage: each account will automatically upgrade from its current 15 GB to 1 TB of storage when we release it. This does not apply to free personal accounts.
Google notes that as the business grows, users will need more documents, data, and digital assets to manage and store. Google Drive comes as a savior in such a situation as it allows users to store more than 100 file types including PDFs, CAD files, and images. Also, users can easily collaborate and edit Microsoft Office files without changing them. Drive also offers built-in protections against malware, spam, and ransomware, so users don't have to worry about accidentally opening the door to malware by opening a document.
How to upgrade to 1TB storage on Google? The update will be done automatically. Yes, Google will automatically upgrade the storage cloud data limit from 15GB to 1TB per Google Workspace account. You may continue to use the current service and have access to 1TB of storage to store files, documents, and other items at no additional charge.
Currently, Google offers three 100GB storage monthly plans for Rs. 130 per month, 200GB storage at Rs. 210, and Rs. 650 per month for the 2TB storage plan.
